Have you just started your history degree? Or have heard about Senate House Library and are curious about what we can offer for your history research?

This introductory session will provide you with all the information you need to get started in using Senate House Library during your history degree.

The session will cover: 

  • Collections the Library offers for history students
  • Special Collections and Archives
  • How to find and access library materials using the catalogue
  • How to find and access online resources
  • Tips on using the library as a study space

By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of what Senate House Library offers to study history and how to find and use material across the collections. 

The session is aimed at new students in history, but continuing students and researchers are also very welcome to join.

This session will be held online. You will receive a link to join in advance of the session.

If you would like to start with a more general tour of Senate House Library, you can book a 30-minute in-person tour with one of our staff every Friday at 14:00.
